Sonny Bill Williams may be saying all the right things, but he is not convincing the media that he is committed to New Zealand rugby.

According to the latest dispatches from the Land of the Long White Cloud Williams's stay in Hamilton, where he will play Super Rugby or the Chiefs, will be short-lived.

They are convinced the 26-year-old All Blacks sensation's stay in Hamilton could be limited to just the one season.

He has been strongly linked to a move back to Rugby League, possibly on a long-term deal with the Sydney Roosters.

After being asked what Hamilton could do to keep him, Williams made no secret of the likelihood that he will leave the Chiefs after one season.

"I'm not too sure, you know. I think I do things to get the best out of myself," Williams told Fairfax media.

Williams looked relaxed in his new environment, but the local media had just one question: 'How long will SBW last?'

"The last few years I've signed one-year contracts just to put pressure on myself to perform," he said.

"You're only useful as long as you're necessary, so if I'm not playing well then no-one's going to want me. So at the end of the day it all depends on what I do on that field, and the pressure is certainly on me."

Whether he performs on the park or not, there will still be many options in front of the powerful, off-loading, big-hitting star, be it in Rugby Union, Rugby League or boxing.
